Daily Journal Names Christine Wong to Top Women Lawyers List
Morrison Foerster partner Christine Wong has been named to the Daily Journal’s 2025 list of the Top Women Lawyers in California. The annual award series recognizes the successes and victories of lawyers in the courtroom and at the negotiating table.
The publication featured Christine’s accomplishments, including reaching a favorable tentative settlement of the nearly 800 lawsuits arising from the 2023 Maui wildfires on behalf Hawaiian Telcom and guiding Recology to the successful conclusion of a three-year deferred prosecution agreement arising from a public corruption investigation by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California.
A former global co-chair of MoFo’s Litigation Department, Christine focuses her practice on investigations, white collar criminal defense, and cross-border compliance matters. She draws on her unique background as an internal advisor and as a federal prosecutor when advising companies, boards, and executives on a variety of matters that present significant legal and reputational risks – including white collar criminal and regulatory enforcement, internal investigations, and related civil litigation. She also provides ongoing compliance advice on antitrust, anti-bribery and corruption, and conflicts of interest, among other issues, to corporate clients.
Before joining MoFo, Christine served as a federal prosecutor for both the Southern District of New York and the Northern District of California, where she investigated a wide range of matters including public corruption, fraud, and organized crime, and served as lead counsel in over a dozen jury trials. Additionally, Christine led the development and implementation of the global compliance program for a Fortune 500 multinational corporation, where she served as vice president, head of international compliance. In that capacity, she was responsible for managing investigations and related litigation, reviewing policies and procedures, developing and delivering training modules, and ultimately reporting to the board of directors.
Christine was previously named a Top White Collar Lawyer by the Daily Journal in 2021 and 2023.
Profiles of all the winning lawyers are featured in a special Top Women Lawyers issue published on May 28, 2025.
